Welcome to DiGRA-K - the South Korean chapter of the Digital Game Research Association. DiGRA-K members consist of game researchers, scholars, students, industry professionals, and interested grassroots participants in South Korea. Those who are interested in South Korean games and gaming culture are also welcome to join.
Our aim
Increase the visibility of Korean Game Studies internationally and bridge the gap between the international community and the Korean game research community.
Attempt to broaden the scope of Korean game studies and collaboratively explore next-gen game research (i.e. interdisciplinary, open science) beyond the limitations of the current Korean game research.
Fostering a network for regular conversations and collaborations among Korean game researchers, students, industry professionals, and grassroots
Create a safe space that respects inclusion/diversity for all levels of researchers, students, and other members.
Encourage and provide opportunities for early-career scholars to develop their work nationally and internationally.
국제디지털게임연구학회 한국지회 (이하 "DiGRA-K" 또는 "DiGRA한국학회")는 게임 연구자, 학생, 업계 종사자 및 전문가 등으로 구성되어 있습니다. 동시에, 게임과 게임문화에 진지한 관심을 가진 일반 게이머들에게도 문호가 개방되어 있습니다. 국내의 게임과 게임 문화에 관심이 있는 세계 각국의 연구자와 산업 관계자 또한 국제디지털게임연구학회 한국지회의 구성원이 될 수 있습니다.
한국 게임연구의 탁월한 결과물들을 국제적으로 공유함으로써 한국 게임 연구 공동체와 국제 게임 연구 공동체 사이의 거리 좁히기
학제간 경계와 관습적 접근방식을 넘어서는 차세대 게임연구의 장려
